Confusion Or Confucius

Nobody knows where this proverb comes from. Some say it’s Greek, others say it’s Chinese and still others say it comes from the Turks. They have a phrase that says “the fish stinks first at the head.” And of course it’s not entirely accurate. In reality, the guts of the fish rot and stink before the head. It works for me either way.
